The First Airport-Based Comprehensive Bonded Zone in China

As our country's first airport-based comprehensive bonded zone, first-stage project of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone was unveiled and put into operation on July 29th, with the acceptance of the Joint Acceptance Panel of the State Council. Approved by the State Council, Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone was founded in July, 2008. With a planning area of 5.944 km², it's the tenth comprehensive bonded zone (port) approved by the State Council and it's also the first airport-based comprehensive bonded zone. The zone is located in the west and north sides of Beijing Capital International Airport and have a seamless connection with the north unloading platform of the airport. Sited within the capital's airport economy core area, Free Trade Zone possesses functions including customs clearance, export processing, and bonded logistics, etc. with preferential policies like “certificate free”, “duty free”, and “bonded zone". Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone is the customs special supervision zone in mainland China with highest standard, most preferential policies, and most complete functions at present.
