On May 20, 2014, Wang Yang, the Vice Premier of the State Council, examined ACLP's International Express Center and hosted a symposium. During the conference, Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce and Beijing Customs gave reports on the development of cross-border e-commerce and provided advices and suggestions on the development of foreign-trade enterprises. Wang Yang pointed out that, structural adjustment and accelerated transformation is the fundamental way-out for the foreign trade to maintain steady growth. He spoke highly of the achievement of Beijing foreign-trade structural adjustment, requiring Beijing to strengthen and expand service trade, and actively develop cross-border e-commerce on the basis of its intrinsic advantages, as well as support enterprises to develop brands and overseas marketing network. Also, he required Beijing to continue to take the lead of the whole nation regarding promoting the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade, and to conclude the experience that could be duplicated and popularized.
