The first domestic "bonded auction" of culture art objects was held in Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone

On April 19, the first lobby of United Inspection Building of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone held the first domestic bonded auction of culture art objects. The so-called "bonded auction" of art objects, is just to apply the policy of "outside the customs but in domestic territory" to carry out the auction transaction in free trade zone of this kind of special custom supervision zone. After the completion of transaction, if the art object is bought by the domestic customers, the tariffs and appreciation taxes will be paid according to the law and then enter; if it is bought by the outside customers, the art object can be sent to abroad without paying the tariffs and appreciation taxes. One of its features is that it directly transfers the international auction activity to the territory in the simplest way and provides convenience for the buyers; the second feature is that it is the transaction outside the territory and the taxes are controlled flexibly.

 

The auction items in the bonded auction are imported from France and born in French Collection of art treasures in the 18th and 19th centuries which include ancient sculpture, classical furniture, and gorgeous watches, special art works and so on, with 34 pieces of western art treasures in total. This auction is the first art work auction held in the special supervision zone of custom, and government and the society paid high attention to it. To ensure the smooth holding of this activity, company investment department and estate department operated tightly to complete the layout of exhibition goods, preparation of auction places and other work within as short as two days, winning the high appreciation from the customers and the relevant government department.
